Nitin Agarwal
Director (Sales I Brands I Partner Relations)

Nitin Agarwal is the Director (Sales I Brands I Partner Relations) at Universal Corporation Ltd.

Along with his brother Nishant Agarwal, Nitin has founded the company in 1997. Since the inception of the company, he has partnered with Procter & Gamble, Coty, Philips, Kraft, Cadbury’s and other industry leaders to create a Pan India, all-channel Distribution model.

Starting in 2013 with AGARO, Nitin has envisioned and led the launch of several company-owned brands like AGARO, DiSano, KareIn and LuvLap across categories ranging from Electronics and Personal Care to Baby Care and Food.

Nitin has extensive experience across multiple categories and industries, which has helped him guide Universal to this new phase of its journey.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from The University of Calcutta.

Nishant Agarwal
Director (Finance I Legal I Operations)

Nishant Agarwal is the Director (Finance I Legal I Operations) at Universal Corporation Ltd.

Along with his brother Nitin Agarwal, Nishant has founded the company in 1997. Nishant has led the back-end operations at Universal, steering the company to higher profitability via cost effective solution in Supply Chain and Warehousing, as well as regulating all investment norms

Nishant personally heads the Finance Dept. of Universal, serving in dual capacity as CFO of the company.

Nishant has immense experience in International Trade norms, Taxation, and Corporate Legal.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from The University of Calcutta

Sachin Sahane
General Manager- Production

Sachin Sahane brings with him over 20 years of experience in R&D, Lean manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Workforce Management in the FMCG sector.

He is an industry specialist in Fem Hygiene, Adult Incontinence and Baby Care (Diapers, Wipes), having worked with Kimberly Clark & Greenfield Hygiene. He has handled extensive business development projects both in India and Africa.

Sachin is a part of the Universal family since Jun’18, leading the complete operations from Manufacturing, Product Research & Design & Development of the Fem Hygiene, Adult Diapers and Baby Wipes category lines.

Sachin has a Bachelors Degree in Electric Engineering from the University of Pune.

Barun Kumar Samanta
General Manager- Sales (Traditional Trade I Baby)

Barun Samanta is a seasoned leader with over two decades of experience across Profit Centre Operations, Sales & Distribution, Business Development, Retail Mgmt. and Key Accounts Management. He has worked across Telecom, Retail and FMCG sectors.

Having joined Universal Corporation Ltd in Sep 2018 as General Manager- Sales for Traditional Trade and Baby Channel, he has previously worked in Reliance Communication, Bharti Airtel, Spencer’s and PepsiCo India.

He has been instrumental in executing the GTM redesign at Universal, leading the business integration between the Traditional Trade and the Baby Channels.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Ranchi University and has completed Management Development Programs from XLRI, Jamshedpur and Retail management from IMI, Delhi.

Biplob Roy
GM Sales – Duracell Chhota Power

With over 15 years of Sales & Distribution experience, Biplob Roy has been with Universal Corporation Ltd. since Sep 2012. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta, and an MBA from IMIS, Bhubaneshwar.

He started his career with Nestle’ India, moving on to Sales and GTM based profiles in PepsiCo India and Reebok India.

The highlights of his association with Universal include the National launch of DiSano (Foods) and KareIn (Adult Diapers), along with transitioning the distribution of Duracell from P&G India to Universal Corp.

He is currently managing the Sales execution & GTM set up for Duracell Chhota Power across India

Santanu Bhattacharya
GM Sales – International & Modern Trade

Currently heading the Modern Trade business of Universal across self and partner brands, Santanu Bhattacharya has 25+ years of experience across several sectors like FMCG, Foods, Stationery & Luxury and Liquor.

He has worked across Traditional Trade and Modern Trade with PepsiCo India, Luxor and United Breweries.

He has been with Universal Corporation Ltd. since April 2011, and has spearheaded the successful transition of Duracell from P&G to Universal in the Modern Trade Channel. He has led share gain interventions in Modern Trade for Duracell as well as Disano.

Santanu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from the University of Calcutta, and an MBA in marketing from the National Institute of Management
